God never cease to overwhelm us.
The thought of Him just blows my mind.
Full of awe.
Full of wonder.
Could there be anything sweeter than this?

God brought me into having a deeper understanding of Him as DCD approaches...
Guess you can say,
I have witnessed a different side of God that I did not fully comprehend in the past.

He is not far away.
He is not a distant figure.
He is not out of grasp.
He is not blind.
He is not deaf.
He is not mute.

HE IS ALIVE.
He is closed to my heart.
He is Jehovah Saviour!
He is JESUS!

we will make it happen.

The Life of Mew.

I have a clever cat.
and his name is mew. (LOL)
(This is the handsome picture of him!)
Mew has been through alot with the Tay Family since he was a kitten.

(This is a picture of Mew when he was still a kitten!)

He led a dangerous life.
He used to sleep at the aircon unit outside the window.
WHICH SCARED ALL OF US OUT at first...
then we gave up trying to lure him to safety after a while...
because he just won't budge!
and because of his liking of being outside the window...
He fell down (from the 5th floor) twice.
AND MIRACULOUSLY HE SURVIVED!
He broke his leg the first time,
the 2nd time, he injure his back
and couldn't use his hind legs and had to crawl around until he recovered.
(This is a picture of my cat outside at the aircon unit...)

Mew got lost of 1 month after ard my birthday early this year.
and while he was lost.
despite getting SO SKINNY!
he also got sterilised.
He often get into cat fights.
despite our efforts to keep him at home.
his heart was somewhere else.
he always run out of the house whn someone opens the door.
so eventually, we gave up keeping him at home,
and allow him to go out.

(This is just a picture of one of the many injuries my cat gotten for fighting with other cats...)

Nowadays,
Mew treats the house like a hotel.
He eats, sleeps and go out...
and the cycle goes on...
sometimes whn we see him downstairs,
he will follow us whn we call him and we'll bring him home.
=D (that's the clever part. LOL)

(This is a picture of my cat sleeping!)

And...
my cat don't pee and poo at home...
he does them outside before coming home.
and that's a extremely good thing!

sometimes, when the house door is closed,
he will try to get our attention to open the door so that he can go out.

AND RECENTLY!
he bit me to wake me up so that I can open my room door,
(cause he was sleeping in my room)
so that he can go out.
he gave me such a fright!
altho i tot that was quite a clever thing to do.
LOL.
my guess was he probably meowed alot to wake me up.
but obviously that didn't work, so he had to resort to biting...

but after i let him out of my room,
i straight away closed my door room and went back to sleep.
so i kind of jet him, altho i know he wants me to open the house door so he can go out.

soooooooo...
he ended up meowing in my mum's room...
so mum had to open the house door for him.
big shot man.
LOL.
and that was at 4+am!

HAHAHA.
THE END.
(end of story.)

ACOUSTIC!!!!!

How much do you desire?
How much do all these mean to you?
GOTTA MAKE A CHOICE!
GOTTA SET PRIORITITES!

constant struggle.
it will always be.
but!
what awaits...
is worth it all.
=)

keep fighting.
keep striving.
keep reaching.

not the time to give up.
but the time to step up!
step out.
out of the comfort zone.
into the realm of the unknown.
where the miracles lie,
where the excitement begins!

going beyond myself.
beyond what i think i can do.
NEVER wanna be anything less than what You want me to be!

don't wanna settle for second best,
when You can give me the best.

don't want to be the same usual me.
i'm sick of all my nonsense this year.
NO MORE crash and burns...
NO MORE desperate cries at night...

I think...
now, I've gotten a better understanding of who You are,
compared to before.
The extent of Your LOVE, Your MERCY and GRACE.
it's indescribable...
it's overwhelming...
it's a revelation in itself.

couldn't comprehend before why...
why aren't You angry for the mistakes i made?
why would You still forgive me despite committing the same old mistakes?
why wouldn't You scold me for ignoring You?

because...
You are God.
You are bigger than my mistakes.
You are LOVE itself.
and You don't condemn me,
but embrace me with Your Love.

let not these be mere words.
but let me put them into action.
let me do whatever it takes in order to reach the goal.

You are my hiding place.
my safe refuge.
my Help in time of need.

wanting an INTENSE hunger for You!
an intimate relationship with You.

God Doesn't Exist

A man went to a barbershop to have his hair cut and his beard trimmed. As the barber began to work, they began to have a good conversation. They talked about so many things and various subjects. When they eventually touched on the subject of God, the barber said: "I don't believe that God exists."
"Why do you say that?" asked the customer.

"Well, you just have to go out in the street to realize that God doesn't exist. Tell me, if God exists, would there be so many sick people? Would there be abandoned children? If God existed, there would be neither suffering nor pain. I can't imagine a loving a God who would allow all of these things."

The customer thought for a moment, but didn't respond because he didn't want to start an argument. The barber finished his job and the customer left the shop. Just after he left the barbershop, he saw a man in the street with long, stringy, dirty hair and an untrimmed beard. He looked dirty and unkempt.

The customer turned back and entered the barber shop again and he said to the barber: "You know what? Barbers do not exist."

"How can you say that?" asked the surprised barber. "I am here, and I am a barber. And I just worked on you!

"No!" the customer exclaimed. "Barbers don't exist because if they did, there would be no people with dirty long hair and untrimmed beards, like that man outside."

"Ah, but barbers DO exist! What happens, is people do not come to me."

"Exactly!"- affirmed the customer. "That's the point! God, too, DOES exist! What happens, is, people don't go to Him and do not look for Him. That's why there's so much pain and suffering in the world."

The Cracked Water Pot
from Gramps
Elkhart, Indiana

A water bearer in India had two large pots, each hung on each end of a pole which he carried across his neck. One of the pots had a crack in it, and while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water at the end of the long walk from the stream to the master's house, the cracked pot arrived only half full.

For a full two years this went on daily, with the bearer delivering only one and a half pots full of water in his master's house. Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments, perfect to the end for which it was made. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it was able to accomplish only half of what it had been made to do. After two years of what it perceived to be a bitter failure, it spoke to the water bearer one day by the stream.

"I am ashamed of myself, and I want to apologize to you."

"Why?" asked the bearer, "What are you ashamed of?"

"I have been able, for these past two years, to deliver only half my load because this crack in my side causes water to lead out all the way back to your master's house. Because of my flaws, you have to do all of this work, and you don't get full value from your efforts," the pot said.

The water bearer felt sorry for the old, cracked pot, and in his compassion he said, "As we return to the master's house, I want you to notice the beautiful flowers along the path." Indeed, as they went up the hill, the old cracked pot took notice of the sun warming the beautiful wild flowers on the side of the path, and this cheered it some. But at the end of the trail, it still felt bad because it had leaked out half its load, and so again it apologized to the bearer for its failure.
The bearer said to the pot, "Did you notice that there were flowers only on your side of the pat, but not on the other pot's side? That's because I have always known about your flaw, and took advantage of it. I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back from the stream, you've watered them. For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate my master's table. Without you being just the way you are, he would not have this beauty to grace his house."

Jenny's Pearls
Author Unknown

The cheerful girl with bouncy golden curls was almost five. Waiting with her mother at the checkout stand, she saw them, a circle of glistening white pearls in a pink foil box. "Oh please, Mommy. Can I have them? Please, Mommy, please?" Quickly the mother checked the back of the little foil box then looked back into the pleading blue eyes of little girl's upturned face. "A dollar ninety-five. That's almost $2.00. If you really want them, I'll think of some extra chores for you and in no time you can save enough money to buy them for yourself. Your birthday's only a week away and you might get another crisp dollar bill from Grandma."

As soon as Jenny got home, she emptied her penny bank and counted out 17 pennies. After dinner, she did more than her share of chores and she went to the neighbor and asked Mrs. McJames if she could pick dandelions for ten cents. On her birthday, Grandma did give her another new dollar bill and at last she had enough money to buy the necklace.

Jenny loved her pearls. They made her feel dressed up and grown up. She wore them everywhere - Sunday school, kindergarten, even to bed. The only time she took them off was when she went swimming or had a bubble bath. Mother said if they got wet, they might turn her neck green. Jenny had a very loving daddy and every night when she was ready for bed, he would stop whatever he was doing and come upstairs to read her a story.

One night when he finished the story, he asked Jenny, "Do you love me?" "Oh yes, Daddy. You know that I love you." "Then give me your pearls." "Oh, Daddy, not my pearls. But you can have Princess - the white horse from my collection. The one with the pink tail. Remember, Daddy? The one you gave me. She's my favorite." "That's okay, Honey. Daddy loves you. Good night." And he brushed her cheek with a kiss.

About a week later, after the story time, Jenny's daddy asked again, "Do you love me?" "Daddy, you know I love you." "Then give me your pearls." "Oh, Daddy, not my pearls. But you can have my baby doll. The brand new one I got for my birthday. She is so beautiful and you can have the yellow blanket that matches her sleeper." "That's okay. Sleep well. God bless you, little one. Daddy loves you." And as always, he brushed her cheek with a gentle kiss.

A few nights later when her daddy came in, Jenny was sitting on her bed with her legs crossed Indian style. As he came close, he noticed her chin was trembling and one silent tear rolled down her cheek. "What is it, Jenny? What's the matter?" Jenny didn't say anything but lifted her little hand up to her daddy. And when she opened it, there was her little pearl necklace. With a little quiver, she finally said, "Here, Daddy. It's for you." With tears gathering in his own eyes, Jenny's kind daddy reached out with one hand to take the dime store necklace. And with the other hand he reached into his pocket and pulled out a blue velvet case with a strand of genuine pearls and gave them to Jenny. He had them all the time. He was just waiting for her to give up the dime store stuff so he could give her genuine treasure.

So it is with our Heavenly Father. He is waiting for us to give up the cheap things in our lives so that he can give us beautiful treasure. Isn't God good? Are you holding on to things which God wants you to let go of? Are you holding on to harmful or unnecessary partners, relationships, habits and activities which you have come so attached to that it seems impossible to let go? Sometimes it is so hard to see what is in the other hand, but I do believe this one thing... God will never let something disappear without giving you something better in its place.

I set out on an expedition with WONG!
On a 'TOUR' around the 'world'!!!
The following pictures documents our journey!

First, we were at this place that was FILLED with pigeons!!!
IT'S SCARY I TELL YOU!
which part of the world is this?
you know...
the part of the world where you see alot of pigeons!
duh!
(haha)

We saw this petrol station that we think it was quite interesting!
Well, it was interesting because, usually petrol stations are by themselves.
We don't usually see petrol stations as part of a building...
And that is the interesting part! And that is why we acted like suangku and took a picture of this! (lol)

We then visited busy busy New York!
(just that when we were there, it didn't seem that busyyy...)
You know, where you see TALL skyscrapers/buildings, unique architectures, people dressed in office clothings/suits/etc.
(well, I could have taken a picture of the streets to give a better representation, but since I didn't, so this picture is the BEST that I have!)

There was some construction going on at that place too...
WONG: "wah! They so singlish until they named their company 'Leh'-man Brothers."
en: "LOL... OK, I get it. 'Lehhhh'-man Brothers. Like that also can..."
*enn continues laughing...
(LOL. so we do have influence in parts of the world, don't we?)
(no offence to all working in Lehman Brothers, or if you are one of the Lehman brothers yourself... heh.)

We passed by this really poshy sandwich place...
My guess is they probably only sells sandwich since it's 'SIMPLY SANDWICH'
But we really like the signboard!
Think it's really creative!
But it would be nicer or I guess, so much funnier if there were teeths/mouth that was going to eat the words there...
(haha)

We dropped by Shanghai, China. And this is the eatery also known as, 茶馆.
But, i guess maybe it was given a western flavour or for people that can't read chinese???
The signboard has to have hanyu pinyin, so that it's read
cha kuan even.
And btw, 茶馆's hanyu pinyin should be cha2 guan3...
not kuan.
(hah...)

People were so friendly, they opened the door to greet us!
We can really feel the warmth of the place!
('cause of the afternoon sun)
(haha)

We came to Japan as well!
Why is this Japan?
Well, you do see the sakura blossoms decor on the glasspanes don't you? =D
The desserts looked REALLY DELICIOUS MAN!
We were probably alr drooling standing outside...
(haha)
WE WILL BE BACK HERE AGAIN!
THIS TIME TO EAT THE DESSERTS THO!
=DDDD

After a tiring day of travelling... (actually a few hours)
We finally landed in Hong Kong and came to The Joy Family Life Centre,
where we finally rested our tired feet.
(I don't have a picture for this... Maybe we were so tired and happy about reaching our destination, I forgot to take a picture. heh.)
It was a hilarious and fun day out!
Maybe we'll be out on another expedition soon!
sooooo...
CHECK BACK SOON FOR UPDATES!
(LOL)
